Subject Evaluation

In this subject i have learnt a lot more about multimedia IT technologies. I learnt more tricks in photoshop and learnt about new programs and websites. I enjoyed making my website with devhub, it was really easy but fun. I also learnt about a new presentation site called prezi. i enjoyed usung and learning about it. I would take up further classes like this in the future. I was dissapointed that we didnt get to use adobe premiere pro and adobe encore as i ahve used these before and want to learn more about them. overall i enjoyed this subject. :)

Evaluation

In this project i used four different programs

microsoft word- used to reasearch other theme parks

photoshop- used to create a poster

devhub- used to create a website

prezi- used to make a presentation

What I Think of Prezi and Google docs

Prezi was really good, it was way better than powerpoint. Im not sure if i'll use it agin but i probably wont reccommend it because it takes a bit to fully understand it. The advantages were that you can make your presentation move around a lot, but you couldnt fully customize backrounds and stuff like that. I would have used different writing colours if i done my presentation again.

We collaberated quite well when usuing gooogle docs, it was really easy to use. Some advantages are you can work on a project with others without having to meet up, some disadvantages is you cant't use animations and you can delete a member from a presentation really easy. I would probably not use it again as there is very little group presentations that we do like that , but i would recomend if the opportunity came. If i done this again next time i would just put some info on the screen and talk most of it.

Good Websites

Facebook- Because you can connect with friends, talk to friends, share photos and connect to other sites usuing facebook.

FoxSports- Because it tells you all the latest news, live scores and you play fantasy sports and tip on sports.

1day- Because it has different deals to buy each day.

The Making of My Magazine Cover

To start off i had to turn the backround layer into an editable layer. Once I completed That i used the paint bucket to turn my page black. I then inserted the heading and subheading of the magazine. I took note of the colour i used so i could use the same colour later. I then got my hero photo of Sonny Bill Williams and cut it out using the magic wand and rubber tools. I then used text to create a heading and sub heading about Sonny Bill Williams. After that i took the crusaders jersey and placed it down the bottem with text. Then I cut out Stephen brett using the Magic wand, Magic Backround eraser, and the normal eraser tool. I added a heading to that photo as well, Then  i cut out Cory Jane using the Magic Wand and Eraser tool, and placed him in the corner and added text. Next was the barcode, i had to remove the backround so i had only black lines and numbers, then zoom in and paint bucket it so it goes pink, add the date nd the barcode was done. Finnaly for the finishing touches i used the smudge tool to make the edges look a bit better.

Picture Formats

JPEG: Joint Photographic Experts Group is a compressed type of photo. JPEG was originally a group that worked together to take bits out of a photo that humans dont need to see a photo. It also reduces the file size. Most cameras take photos in JPEG

GIF: Graphcs Interchange Format is a picture type that cant display heaps of colours therefore it is good for photos that dont show heaps of colours like a diagram or logo. GIF was the first photo type to use animation in it.

PNG: Portable Graphics Network was made to be a GIF and a JPEG joint together. However this has not really taken off.

BITMAP: Or BMP (The Windows Bitmap) images are usually uncompressed and are really large in file size.

PSD: Photoshop Document is the format Adobe Photoshop has as their main fil save type. These Photos have masks and clippings. it is saved in this file format so you can edit your layers, where if you just save it in a JPEG you cant edit Layers.

Is someting that has different content forms, multimedia can be text, still image, video, animations and interactivity. People can convey messages by  lyrics in a song, videos, text or images of something e.g  someone doing something wrong.

Hi my names travis, 13 years on this planet :P, i like to get out with friends and love playing sports. I play Cricket, Rugby, and Aussie Rules. Im a proud kiwi. My fav Subject is any sport subject. When im older im going to be a sparky :P. Most of my family lives in New Zealand :P, I have no pets. I go on holidays to new zealand every year and i go away quite a bit. Im not a big fan on playstations and xboxes :P, i picked this subject because i love making movies and stuff with all the computer programs :P
