Picture Formats

JPEG: Joint Photographic Experts Group is a compressed type of photo. JPEG was originally a group that worked together to take bits out of a photo that humans dont need to see a photo. It also reduces the file size. Most cameras take photos in JPEG

GIF: Graphcs Interchange Format is a picture type that cant display heaps of colours therefore it is good for photos that dont show heaps of colours like a diagram or logo. GIF was the first photo type to use animation in it.

PNG: Portable Graphics Network was made to be a GIF and a JPEG joint together. However this has not really taken off.

BITMAP: Or BMP (The Windows Bitmap) images are usually uncompressed and are really large in file size.

PSD: Photoshop Document is the format Adobe Photoshop has as their main fil save type. These Photos have masks and clippings. it is saved in this file format so you can edit your layers, where if you just save it in a JPEG you cant edit Layers.

Is someting that has different content forms, multimedia can be text, still image, video, animations and interactivity. People can convey messages by  lyrics in a song, videos, text or images of something e.g  someone doing something wrong.

i think multimedia is someting that you can show messages in, e.g pictures movies, music, animations, etc. and sometimes all these put together. :P

Hi my names travis, 13 years on this planet :P, i like to get out with friends and love playing sports. I play Cricket, Rugby, and Aussie Rules. Im a proud kiwi. My fav Subject is any sport subject. When im older im going to be a sparky :P. Most of my family lives in New Zealand :P, I have no pets. I go on holidays to new zealand every year and i go away quite a bit. Im not a big fan on playstations and xboxes :P, i picked this subject because i love making movies and stuff with all the computer programs :P
